1. The quote you see is the price you pay
Every price on this site is produced by our own quoting engine from your file, your quantity and your chosen process — the same calculation for everybody, itemised in the “See the price breakdown” panel. A quote is valid 30 days. Within that window the total you see at payment is what we charge; if we cannot make the part as quoted we tell you before charging anything and you may cancel for a full refund.
Each quote carries a confidence label: firm (every cost driver known), indicative (one estimate inside the calculation) or budgetary (an open question remains, e.g. a tolerance outside the machine's capability). We always show which one you are looking at.
2. How the contract is formed
- You drop a file, the site quotes you instantly — no account needed.
- You press Continue to order, give your e-mail and place the order.
- You pay (card or bank transfer). The contract starts when the payment is confirmed — until then nothing is in production.
- We e-mail the confirmation with your reference, and you can follow the status any time in My area.
We may decline an order before payment: part outside our machines' range, material we cannot source, or a quantity we cannot deliver in a sane time. In that case no charge is made.
3. Your model file
Uploading a file does not transfer ownership — the design stays yours. You confirm that you have the right to have it made (your own design, or a design you are allowed to reproduce). We use the file only to make your order: no sharing with other customers, no publication, no reuse for anyone else. See the privacy policy for retention.
4. Payment
- Card — processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we only get a payment reference.
- SEPA bank transfer — production starts when the transfer arrives (usually 1 working day); the quote is held 5 working days for you.
- Prices are in euros (EUR). Cards in other currencies are converted by your bank at its own rate.
- When live, the payment page names the seller, the amount and the item before you confirm anything.
5. VAT — and when you pay none
Default: 22 % Italian VAT is included in the total for customers in Italy and for private customers anywhere in the EU.
Business customers in another EU member state pay 0 % once their VAT number is verified live in the EU registry (VIES). That is not a discount — it is the reverse charge, and the law requires exactly two conditions plus the number you give us:
“Member States shall exempt the supply of goods dispatched or transported to a destination outside their respective territory but within the Community […] where the following conditions are met: (a) the goods are supplied to another taxable person […] in a Member State other than that in which dispatch or transport of the goods begins; (b) the taxable person […] is identified for VAT purposes in a Member State other than that in which the dispatch or transport of the goods begins and has indicated this VAT identification number to the supplier.”
Directive 2006/112/EC (VAT Directive), Article 138(1), consolidated text
In practice: deliver outside Italy ✅ · business customer ✅ · number verified by the EU service ✅ → the invoice shows 0 % and your VAT number. If the registry is unreachable at the moment you order, we charge VAT and credit it back the moment the number verifies — you never lose money to a government service hiccup.
6. Right of withdrawal — your parts are excluded
You are entitled to the 14-day withdrawal right EU consumers normally have, but it does not apply to goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised — which is exactly what a custom-manufactured part is. The exemption, verbatim:
“Member States shall not provide for the right of withdrawal set out in Articles 9 to 15 in respect of distance and off-premises contracts as regards the following: […] (c) the supply of goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised;”
Directive 2011/83/EU (Consumer Rights Directive), Article 16(c)
We must tell you this before you order — which we do: the payment page and this section state it plainly. Everything else still applies to you: parts that arrive wrong, damaged or different from the quote are covered by the legal conformity guarantee (Directive (EU) 2019/771) and we remake or refund them at our cost.
7. Product safety
We manufacture in the EU and follow the safety rules that apply to what we make. The obligations we owe as the manufacturer of consumer products, in short form:
“When placing their products on the market, manufacturers shall ensure that those products have been designed and manufactured in accordance with the general safety requirement laid down in Article 5. Before placing their products on the market, manufacturers shall carry out an internal risk analysis and draw up technical documentation containing at least a general description of the product and its essential characteristics relevant for assessing its safety.”
Regulation (EU) 2023/988 (General Product Safety Regulation), Article 9(1)–(2)
Industrial parts we make to a business customer's drawing follow the customer's specification; where you buy a consumer product from us (a household item, a toy part), that product carries its manufacturer marking, traceability and instructions in English, as required by that Regulation.
8. Delivery
- Lead times on the quote are working days from payment, for the whole quantity (they already include batching — check the quantity table: larger runs show a longer lead).
- We ship from Tuscany, Italy, across the EU; customs duties for non-EU destinations (UK, CH) are the customer's.
- Transit risk is on us until delivery: if a parcel arrives damaged, photograph it before unpacking fully and we remake the parts.
- Where a carrier drops a parcel without a signature or leaves it with a neighbour, that counts as delivered per the carrier's terms.
9. Warranty and liability
- Legal guarantee (Directive (EU) 2019/771): 2 years against defects in conformity, for consumers; for businesses, the warranty is what your contract says, and we aim to say 12 months.
- We guarantee the part matches the quote (material, quantity, general tolerance shown in the breakdown). Parts that need rework to match are redone free.
- We are liable for foreseeable loss caused by us. We are not liable for delay caused by events outside our control (force majeure), nor for the fitness of a design you supplied and asked us to reproduce.
10. Complaints and governing law
Write to info@prontopezzo.com first — we are one workshop and we read everything; most issues are settled by remaking the part. These terms are governed by Italian law, without removing the mandatory consumer protections of your home country (Directive 2011/83/EU art.6). EU consumers may use an alternative dispute resolution body; businesses agree to the courts of Italy.
